With extensive experience in building and managing residential and commercial construction we have the capability to assist you with your build project.
General manager Andrew brings more than 10 years experience managing new builds across Southland and Queenstown.
From the spark of an idea, right through to the issue of code of compliance, Andrew has helped families, investors and people building their forever home to bring their dream to life.
In 2025 Andrew and his young family relocated from Invercargill to Queenstown, bringing a passion for building healthy, beautiful and functional homes for families to grow together in.
With strong local ties to the region Andrew is excited to help shape the stunning Queenstown Lakes District.
Outside of work you’ll find Andrew on the basketball court following a 15 year career with the Southland Sharks, or out in nature making the most of all this beautiful region has to offer.
Andrew Wheeler
Rickie is the head builder behind Queenstown Design & Build.
Rickie has been in the construction industry for nearly 25 years and has been fortunate to work across a wide range of projects during that time. Rickie’s experience includes everything from renovation and extension work through to high-end architectural homes, working alongside skilled teams and some incredibly talented designers and architects.
Over the years Rickie has developed a strong passion for quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and building homes that stand the test of time. Rickie believes that good communication, honesty, and pride in the finished product are what truly make a building project successful.
Queenstown Design and Build was created to bring those values together delivering high-quality building projects while making the process as smooth and transparent as possible for our clients.
Whether it’s a renovation, a new build, or a complex architectural project, Rickie enjoys working closely with clients to bring their ideas to life and create spaces they’ll be proud of for years to come.
